I forgot I wasn't from/in Portland. In my heart I am an Oregonian - after all that is all I see from my house. The thing I love most is the fact that Portland has more parks in the city limits than any other city in the world. It is God's garden and He does water a lot. lol

You are so poetic about PDX that it almost makes me love it again. I am a native. There is no other place I would rather be...from, however, I enjoy the sun more than rain. I do believe there is something in the air that makes people stay. I met a man from Connecticut who said he had never been any place in America that had most men and women dressing alike. It sounds like a dis, but he was just saying that there wasn't a preoccupation with looks. I begged to differ, albeit, I was wearing jeans and a t-shirt with boots. Ok, most importantly, you left off the greatest place in the city...Crystal Springs Rhodedendron Garden...It is my favorite place in Portland. Oh, you are truly a native...maybe more than most who were born here.

Thanks! I think you're the first person to actually bestow that title upon me, although I've considered myself a native for a while now. But it's always nice to have it confirmed, right?

I think, by evidence of your glowing review of our beloved Portland, you should consider yourself an honorary native. If you aren't already.
